Research Black history makers in your industry

February is Black History Month and it’s right around the corner. While there are plenty of iconic, noteworthy figures who are typically honored during this observance, there are many others who also deserve recognition. This year, take some time to identify 3 Black history makers in your industry and share what you find with your colleagues. They could be pioneering individuals from years gone by. They could be your contemporaries because there are significant Black firsts happening every day if you’re paying close attention. Make space to broaden your own frame of reference and that of people in your sphere of influence. There are countless stories to be told if we take the time to do so.
